10 Months To Go
Posted on July 15 2016
When you picture your big day, what type of image pops up? Is it a country cabin, a fairy tale garden, or a elegant mansion?
Deciding what type of feel you want for your wedding makes everything else involving your planning fall into place, such as your wedding colors. Consider a theme that really fits you and your fiance's personalities. For example, if you two are lovers of vintage and Southern charm, consider a country barn wedding.
Lets go ahead and move on to our next topic:
What type of venue should I choose?
Once you have decided your theme, you need to find a venue that really makes that theme come to life. I will be providing a list of some of our favorite venues exclusive to Kentucky and what type of theme they would bring to life:
My Old Kentucky Home, Bardstown
This beautiful place is actually nestled inside a state park. The historic home and estate is said to be the influence for the song "My Old Kentucky Home" and has been part of Kentucky since 1795. If you're wanting a historic, true Kentucky theme, I highly recommend this place.
Clover Ridge, Russellville
This rustic venue is located on a rolling farm land, complete with a beautiful furnished barn, a tree lined grove, and even a old country store that has been turned into a bridal suite. If you're wanting a rustic, pure country theme, this is the place for you.
Whitehall Estate, Louisville
This breath taking estate is home to a historic mansion featuring lush gardens with rare varieties of plants and trees. The mansion features an elegant staircase for pictures, and bedrooms for the wedding parties to get ready. It has a timeless beauty that is completely romantic. If you're wanting an elegant, classy theme to your wedding, this spot is perfect.
